When Robert E. Quinn was in college, he was trying to decide what to major in. After much soul-searching, he came to an unusual conclusion. He decided to major in change. The only problem was that there was no major in change. So he had to become a proactive consumer of education and pursue possibility in the midst of constraint. Since then, he has studied change, taught change, and consulted on change. He is currently the Margaret Elliott Tracy Collegiate Professor in the Management and Organization Group at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
