LANDING A PUBLISHER
Publishing companies are the “Hollywood Studios” 1 of the comic book industry: they produce a creative property and then promote it so until it gets the widest possible distribution; they have connections with merchandisers; and they look for ways to turn a successful comic book into revenue-generating sequels and spinoffs.
