Pop Performance Phrases
You may be restricted to using the “lingo” of your company’s performance appraisal process and forms, or you may have some latitude in using your own descriptors. Either way, in the end, it can sometimes feel like you’re assigning Superman ratings:
  1. Leaps over two-story buildings
  2. Leaps over hi-rise buildings
  3. Leaps over skyscrapers
  4. Can’t leap at all
 
The system your company uses or the one you create should be a simple spectrum of statements. Here are some typical groupings and phrases:
Exceeds all expectations Exceeds most expectations Meets all expectations and exceeds some Meets all expectations Meets most but not all expectations Meets some expectations Does not meet expectations
