RAW is the digital capture format that provides photographers with ultimate flexibility and allows them to produce the optimum file for delivery to clients and reproduction. The RAW format provides the most data, which is the basis for generating the best final image. This format contains all of the actual data captured by the camera’s CCD or CMOS sensor. Finally and most importantly, capturing RAW format files gives you a true original, a digital negative. You can always return to your original and process it differently.
