Taming Your Light
Sometimes the light falls where you don’t want it, and sometimes you just mess up (like in the case here, where not enough attention was paid to the spread of the light, and both the model and background share pretty much the same intensity of light. The subject really is the model, and the background just plays a supporting role, but it was lit like they’re sharing the starring role).
Luckily, it’s pretty easy to tame and refocus the light in Elements.
Step One:
As I mentioned above, here’s the shot where the model is equally as bright as the background, which is not a good thing (in fact, the background may even be a little brighter, and is drawing your attention away from her face, which is absolutely not what you want). ...
