Working with Raw Digital-Camera Images

If you take a photo with a traditional film camera and send the film to a lab for processing, they produce an original print from the negative (the negative remains intact). Photoshop CS’s Camera Raw plug-in lets you import a Raw photo (the digital negative) from your high-end digital camera. You can decide how it’s processed to create your own original, which you can then open and edit in Photoshop CS (while the digital negative remains intact and unchanged). How cool is that? Here’s how to start working with Raw images in Photoshop CS (of course, you have to have a digital camera that shoots in Raw format, but you knew that, right?)
