Setting up Custom File Browser Layouts

The File Browser in Photoshop CS takes advantage of nested palettes, which means you can set up a custom layout that fits your working style. Better yet, these different arrangements of the File Browser can be made into custom workspaces, so you can have different layouts for different editing tasks that are all just one click away. Here’s how to set up your own custom layouts.

Step One.
We’ll start with a standard setup for your File Browser (as shown here): palettes on the left and main window on the right (pretty much the default layout) so you can return to this setup anytime.
