I’ll bet you’re thinking one of two things when you look at the name of this chapter: (1) I didn’t know you could do masking with channels, or (2) What is masking? Believe it or not, the term “masking” is one of the most misunderstood terms in all of Photoshop. It’s true. In fact I’d say masking is right up there with other misunderstood Photoshop terms like bicubic resampling and in utero fertilization.
