A wide range of effects can be created with the FS4 filters and the different features (masking, layers, gradients, blend modes) we reviewed in Chapter 3. All it takes is a little imagination. But FS4 offers several filters that were designed specifically to add an artistic touch to your images. Most are quick and easy to use, but if you feel inspired, these effects—like all filters—can be applied selectively, in layers, as gradients, and adjusted using blend modes.
Keep in mind, though, when it comes to special effects, it’s best to apply them sparingly, at least initially. Then build slowly, using the History function to step back to a previous state if necessary, ...
