PART THREE

Clearance Issues for Specific Producers

In Part Three, I discuss unique clearance issues for specific categories of media producers. Part Three builds on Part Two which summarized the laws most relevant to the rights clearance process. These laws include copyright, trademark, right of publicity, right of privacy, defamation, obscenity and indecency. Although many of the concepts discussed in Part Two apply to all media, they can arise in unique ways within certain types of media productions.
