Sally Evans Kay has spent over 25 years in corporate new product development and innovation within various industries. Her experience includes strategy and process development as well as new opportunity/new technology identification, analysis, and development. Sally has been active in the PDMA as an officer and director and member of the Outstanding Corporate Innovator and Certification committees. Prior to focusing on new product development, her career included assignments in R&D, finance, and marketing.

Tom Hustad is Professor of Marketing at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business. He served as the 1981 president of the PDMA and is founder of the Journal of Product Innovation Management. PDMA's international headquarters was based at Indiana University under his leadership from 1984-1996. He was appointed a Crawford Fellow of Innovation in 1993. His students have created a number of products familiar to consumers.
