John is a sought-after advisor to Fortune 500 enterprises, mid-market businesses, and emerging ventures worldwide. He co-founded a widely read national business newspaper in healthcare. He has held senior-level state and federal positions, working for then-Governor Bill Clinton and the first U.S. Secretary of Education. At Morrison & Foerster, he represented major legal clients in telecommunications, real estate, energy, and investment banking.

He teaches at two of the nation's finest universities: the University of California Berkeley and Princeton University, in addition to anchoring executive education programs on five continents, including Aspen Institute leadership seminars.
