Placement Interview Preparation
Placement interviews are an important step in being placed on an assignment. Up to this point, the client has reviewed your résumé and selected a few consultants to be interviewed. This is the client’s opportunity to evaluate your communication and leadership skills and your opportunity to set yourself apart.
First Impressions Are Important
Here are some important points about making a first impression:
• Dress. Do this even for a phone interview. It comes across in your voice.
• Be on time. If you can’t be on time for the interview, the client will not trust you to be on time on site. If you are late (which you won’t be, right?), apologize and move on; don’t offer excuses. ...
