Many CV book authors try to convince people to buy their book by intimating that their easy-to-create perfect CV can guarantee you (or anyone) any job. I, on the other hand, said right from the outset that CV writing is far harder than most people realise. I also gave very obvious warnings right from the word go that you would never write an ideal CV by following the typical rigid advice.
At the same time, I also maintained that I did think there was such a thing as the best CV in the world, but not in a form that you know it.
