The vast majority of people think CV writing is easy. In fact, the belief that it is possible to ‘knock up a CV in a couple of hours’ is not uncommon. Traditionally most people write CVs themselves and, having examined thousands of DIY CVs over the years, I know that many people actually spend less than two or three hours on their CV.
