Hope's meeting with the other blogger didn't fare as well. He made it very clear that EZ Tech deserved all the negative publicity it was getting and that he and just about everyone he knew at the company didn't trust management. Even after she explained that they were creating a plan to address his issues, he was too bitter to work with her to create solutions. He said he would continue his blog and if the company didn't like it, too bad. Hope knew that he was right that many employees had lost their trust in management. It was the company's leadership's fault but she also knew that he needed to be let go. He was too focused on the past and unwilling to move forward.

Hope never liked having to let anyone go, but she knew that in the process of building a positive culture you had to let some energy vampires off the bus, as the saying goes. Every year EZ tech would have to do this. She remembered reading a report where a hospital let go of a few negative doctors each year and in the process enhanced morale and profits. Turns out the negative doctors were scaring away a large number of patients. After her experience at the hospital yesterday, she wasn't surprised. She also knew that each year Robert, the head of sales, had to let go some of his negative sales and customer service people.
