4.25. People Matter

The process of adopting ADP, like any other process that involves people, must be a gradual one. There are no quick fixes in software development. It cannot happen overnight. It could very well take years, just as improving the production line does. It needs to be well focused and organized. That is why we have ADP Principle 6: Implement ADP's practices and policies incrementally. This principle suggests that we introduce it into a small group, optimize the process there, and then expand it to the rest of the organization. With this approach, you get a constant improvement in both productivity and quality.
