Lead-generation marketing is in a constant state of evolution. One challenge of writing a book like this is making sure the tools I provide don’t go out-of-date in a few years. Many lead-generation marketing books have a short shelf life because they focus on current trends and tactics, instead of looking at how tactics evolve over time. Some books published in the past decade don’t cover emerging trends like social media advertising on Facebook. Instead, they cover subjects like newspaper classified ads and telemarketing, a lead-generation tactic that has now been legislated out of existence.
