The Transformational, Creative Leader

Some people lead in a directive fashion and believe in top-down, hierarchical methods of managing people. Others build strong relationships with groups of followers and lead those groups using the power of relationships as a guide. Some leaders are charismatic, and some are rather introverted and demure. In the end, directive, supportive, charismatic, and demure leadership can all work to enhance effectiveness and creativity. But transformative leaders combine these attributes and behaviors at the right time and are able to bring out the best in their followers. They are strong role models who motivate and challenge their followers on an individual basis.
