While eBay will allow you to begin the selling process without a seller account, you will eventually need to register as a seller. This is an additional step in your eBay registration to the ones covered in chapter 1.
Link your PayPal account to eBay
One of the easiest ways to receive funds for the items you sell is to accept PayPal. In part II we completed PayPal registration. Later in part III weâll cover more on how to accept funds via PayPal. Linking your PayPal and eBay accounts is a simple once-only process.
To link accounts, click My eBay at the top of any eBay page then click Account then PayPal account (see figure 11.1). If you havenât already completed your PayPal registration, click Sign up; to link accounts click Link My PayPal account. Clicking Sign up will take you through the PayPal registration process as covered in part II. Link my PayPal account will take you to a screen where you need to enter your PayPal email address and your PayPal password then click Link your account. On the next screen, click Return to eBay. Once youâve completed this process youâll automatically be able to receive funds into your PayPal account for the items you sell on eBay.
