27. Taking a Cue from Stage Monitors
IF YOU FIND yourself on a stage and want to have the freedom to move around (which I would encourage), you will find stage monitors useful.
Stage monitors are essentially flat-screen TVs, usually discreetly hidden near the edge of the stage from audience view, that make it possible for you to give your whole talk without prepared text, teleprompters, or even physical notes or outline. You can use them as your own private high-tech cue cards, or they can reflect the entire presentation, slides and all, in which case, what you are looking at on the little flat screen at the foot of the stage is also visible simultaneously to your audience on the big screen behind you.
