Of course it’s not that simple. We need to recognize that often it can be nearly this simple, and always, we wish it could be.

As we wander the twisty little passages, all different, let’s keep in mind that we’re trying to follow this simple ideal path, focusing on value, managing and planning by value, building valuable things, and observing them to see what’s going on.

Things will get hairy while we do that. All the complications of real business will show up. All the complications that we seem to throw in our own way will show up.
