Summary

Creating a small or large network can greatly enhance a multi-OS setup. You can run several OSs simultaneously with several computers and a network. The problem with doing so is that spreading your resources across several computers tends to scatter your data and can make it more difficult to integrate your work across applications. TCP/IP networking tools help to overcome these problems, providing you with access to files and even programs on one computer when using another. Tools such as FTP, email, Telnet, and VNC can help knit a network of computers into a unified whole. The next chapter continues with this topic, covering file and print servers in a multi-OS environment.
