Linux's BFS Support

Although not part of the standard kernel, a read-only Linux driver for BeOS's BFS is available from http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA008030/bfs/. If you want to try it, you should get the most recent version directly from the Web site.

Caution

This driver is considered alpha-level software, which is about as unstable as you can get. Despite the fact that it's a read-only driver, therefore, I advise extreme caution when using the Linux BFS driver. Although a read-only driver shouldn't damage the partition it accesses, a bug in the code could conceivably lock up the Linux kernel, and thus the computer.
