The absolute mobility in this country is wonderful, but it does leave its mark in pressures. For if our neighbors are growing rich, then should we not also? And if we are not, why are we not? It would be nice to say imshallah, Fate, buddy, or that’s show biz, but it doesn’t work quite that way, for we do believe in the ability of things to change, and in the Manifest Destiny of continual progress.
