Summary

In this chapter, I covered the two different approaches to digital graphics—vectors and bitmaps—and the way they are implemented on the Web using SVG and canvas. I discussed the basic syntax of each and looked at the situations they are best suited for. You can explore much more about each different graphic format, but for reasons of space I’ve, by necessity, only touched briefly on each—hopefully, however, enough to make you want to find out more.
