CHOOSING WHICH OF THE OPERATIONAL VOICES TO USE AT A Given Time
The last major Aspect of the coach’s work as Master is being responsive and flexible as the needs of the client change. It is as the Master that the coach coordinates the Voices, moving among them as necessary.
Here’s an example from my own practice. I was coaching Jack, the executive director of a health care organization of two hundred people. Jack was dealing with a critical boss, who had made a lot of negative statements about the organization’s recent performance and apparently didn’t trust the data and clarifications that Jack provided.
