ENCOURAGING SELF-OBSERVATION AND REFLECTION

Self-awareness is critical to the client’s ability to be self-correcting, and it’s part of the coach’s job as Reflector to provide encouragement and tools that facilitate the client’s self-observation skills. Self-observation exercises, such as those offered throughout the book, can be of tremendous use to clients and can be designed for virtually any habit, behavior, or pattern of thought.
In the next dialogue, the Reflector encourages the client to develop his capacity to observe and reflect on his own behavior.
