PRACTICES FOR CULTIVATING MINDFULNESS

Mindfulness is a matter of practice. Like anything else that we aspire to master, we must engage with a consistent set of practices over time. When we want to play the piano, we take lessons and practice. The same with golf. Likewise, mindfulness requires a set of practices that, with repetition over time, builds the muscle of our self-awareness so that our mindful state becomes less of an accidental phenomenon, and increasingly accessible and stable.
