As the Reflector, the coach will sometimes provide direct feedback to the client. This is appropriate when the client seems to be missing a piece of information about himself that could perhaps help him understand why he’s getting the results he is. It is key to understand that this feedback is offered with the purpose that the client will be better able to be self-aware. We are not expecting the client to simply accept our feedback, but rather to question how it fits, what seems true, and what does not.
