HOW TO USE THIS BOOK

If you are new to mentoring, I would encourage you to read chapters one through six before you do any of the exercises provided in the book. This will give you an overview of the entire mentoring process and help you fully appreciate the purpose of each phase. If you’ve had a mentor before, however, or are already engaged in a mentoring relationship, skim through the book and start out where you are right now. You can dip in and out of other chapters as needed. If you are considering making the transition from mentee to mentor, be sure to work through the exercises in Chapter Seven.
