About the Authors

Suleman Baig has worked for Deutsche Bank AG for more than 10 years and is currently with their credit structuring team. He has extensive experience dealing with first-time issuers and has structured a number of market-first securitization transactions (both agency and principal) in a variety of asset classes and jurisdictions. These include the first auto ABS to come from Ireland, the first Greek RMBS from an unrated bank, and the first synthetic UK PFI CLO to include NHS LIFT assets. Suleman has also worked in Covered Bond transactions, and structured the first Covered Bond Programmes to come from Portugal, Greece, Belgium, and Finland. He structured the first Covered Bond to be issued from Latin America, originated by Global Bank in Panama and awarded “Structured Trade of the Year” for 2012 by Latin Finance.

Suleman graduated in Mathematics from the London School of Economics.

Moorad Choudhry is Treasurer, Corporate Banking Division at the Royal Bank of Scotland. He was previously head of treasury at Europe Arab Bank, head of treasury at KBC Financial Products, and vice president in structured finance services at JPMorgan Chase Bank. While at KBC FP he led the structuring team that closed Picaros Funding, the world's first multi-SPV synthetic ABCP conduit and winner of Euromoney's “Structured Finance Deal of the Year” award for 2005.
