Working with the Team

All leaders wonder whether or not they will know when their team needs training, and if so, what kind of training. It does take an objective eye and some analytical skills to make those determinations.

One of the best things that a leader can do alone or with other leaders is to create a SWOT analysis: an assessment of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. When you identify the team’s strengths and weaknesses, it is easier to make the right decisions about training and development. A SWOT analysis asks these questions:
