What is training?

Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary defines training as “to form by instruction, discipline, or drill: to teach so as to make fit, qualified, or proficient.” Training, in a nutshell, is about developing skills, improving performance, increasing knowledge, and most importantly improving performance. As Queen Elizabeth once said, “It’s all to do with the training; you can do a lot if you are properly trained.” Professional athletes have trainers for nutrition, workout scheduling, and so on. Why shouldn’t your employees increase their performance as well, through training?
