What to Do if Conflict Arises

Conflict is a natural part of human relations. We experience conflict in our personal and our professional lives, and not all conflict is bad. However, when conflict arises between you and your consultant, things can get ugly fast. So let me share with you some specific conflict-management skills that will stand you in good stead when working with your consultant and anyone else in your professional life.

Step 1: Deal effectively with anger. You can’t resolve a conflict and find a good solution if you and/or the other person are too angry to think straight, or you fail to acknowledge your feelings.
