Building Trust into the Consulting Relationship

When trust is lacking in a consulting relationship, all sorts of obstacles begin to get in the way of the work. Information is hoarded when it should be shared. Communication slows down when it should be accelerating. Problems are concealed when they should be exposed and collaboratively solved. Collaboration and creativity are replaced with resistance, cynicism, and fear. Overall, it becomes a pretty bad situation.
