Paraphrasing

Paraphrasing is repeating what you heard, in your own words.

It’s not just parroting back to the person. It’s repeating what you heard in a way that shows you really understand.

For example:

“What I heard you say was that when Accounting delays approving your budget, you feel stuck. Is that right?”
