Conclusion

Our Emotional Intelligence can be used to lead others, but it will take practice. EQ skills are extremely effective, and we can all master them. But first we must want to improve! Emotions are present in every aspect of our daily lives. The ways we use them will help determine career success and affect all our relationships. It is critical that we learn to develop selfawareness, self–confidence, self–control, empathy, motivation, and social competency ― and use them wisely. Take a few minutes to review the three goals you set in Chapter 3, based on the Self–Assessment and Leadership–Assessment Checklists.
