If you are influencing effectively, your words and actions alike are having a positive impact on others. They are being remembered long after they have been spoken or performed. Let’s use the simple example of introductions. Often at meetings for an interdepartmental project or in training sessions, you will be asked to introduce yourself. Most people say something like this: “Hi. My name is Susie Smith and I work in Accounting and I’ve been with the company for six years.”
