SELF-PROMOTION

Promoting your vision means promoting yourself—directly and indirectly. While the intent of your promotion may not be self-promotion, the fact remains that taking a persuasive stance increases your visibility.

Actions are couched in braided threads. You may not intend to self-promote, but it is a factor. What you do can seldom be viewed in terms of stark black-or-white factors alone. Typically, there will be multiple reasons that explain why that action was taken, and multiple consequences that will evolve from that action.
