REVIEWING THE DRAFT

When you read through your draft, you will find some holes. Some of the holes you’ll be able to fill immediately, and some you won’t.

First, you’ll find information you left out, because you forgot it or had trouble explaining it. Perhaps, for example, you were writing your draft on computerizing the training office, and when you got to computerizing lesson plans you got a phone call and lost your train of thought. Now, with a clear mind, you should be able to spot this gaping hole and plug it in immediately.

Second, holes can and do occur, not just because of oversight, but because of underthought. In such cases, you will have to review your notes and perhaps return to the library or a specific source for more information. ...
