FREESPEAKING

The last fastwriting technique will appeal to people with a good ear. If you’ve ever said, “I’m just thinking out loud,” or “I’m just talking to hear myself think,” then you’ve already experienced freespeaking.

Freespeaking is similar to dictation, but it flows more freely. To freespeak, you need to use a tape recorder and pretend you’re talking to someone—a specific audience, a trusted friend. This technique allows you to discuss your ideas with an audience and to develop and analyze them as you speak.
