EPILOGUE

Well, there’s good news and bad news about this book. The good news is that it should help you know enough about speeches to be successful in your chosen profession. The bad news is that the book cannot do the work for you. Eventually, all the reading must stop and the doing start. You might start by properly screening, selecting and then giving speeches to acclimate yourself to the kind of rigor that comes from having a deadline. Thus, if you want to approach perfection you cannot just read these ten rules, you must live them.
