Second coaching conversation

The second example conversation is more formal. The manager has agreed to review a presentation given by the coachee, and they have already set aside half an hour (setting). The coachee, Leah, comes to the manager’s office and the feedback session begins:

Manager:

Hello. Sit down. So, we’ve got half an hour to review your presentation. (Manager confirms the topic and how long they have)

Leah:

I’m dreading this!

Manager:

Why? How do you think it went? (Asks her opinion)

Leah:

I blew it. That’s all.

Manager:
