History of the tool

The STORM tool is a refinement of the SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time-bound) model for objective setting, which has found to be awkward to use at times. There can be confusion about the difference between achievable and realistic in the SMART model, and the author also wanted a tool that was more practical and action oriented.
