How to use the tool

This is a useful tool to guide you through a conversation which is focused on reflecting upon and extracting the most that can be learned from an experience. It is most valuable as a follow up when your coachee has returned following a significant action step – an ‘experience’. So, what next? Remember, a key component to success in coaching is experience and learning over time. Follow up is critical. You will take the coachee through a sequence of questions to help them learn from their experience, i.e. probing through questioning, clarifying understanding and then creating new options.
