2.3. Creating SAS Data Libraries with SAS Enterprise Guide Explorer

A SAS data library is a set of SAS files stored in a particular location. You use SAS data libraries to tell SAS Enterprise Guide where to find existing SAS data tables, and where to save new ones. This section describes how to create SAS data libraries using the SAS Enterprise Guide Explorer. Note that the SAS Enterprise Guide Explorer is different from the Project Explorer window. The Project Explorer window displays your project in a hierarchical tree diagram; the SAS Enterprise Guide Explorer is an administrative tool. To open the SAS Enterprise Guide Explorer, select Tools SAS Enterprise Guide Explorer from the menu bar.
