Why it’s important: Increasingly managers are required to make presentations to their staff and other managers. Presentations are also becoming common components of many job interviews.

For some reason the thought of speaking in public terrifies many managers. I’ve known some excellent managers who would rather go swimming naked in a shoal of jellyfish than make a presentation.
