If you want to distribute free software or shareware, there are some special tools created just for you.

If your software is going to have a free-trial period, you can use this tool to integrate payment functions right in your application. The user can register your software (and pay for the registration) without ever leaving the application.

If you are distributing freeware or shareware, you can promote it through the software directories. To do this, you first need to create a portable application description (PAD) file. You can find a PAD-building tool here:
