Chapter 43. Media Hosting

If your web site includes audio or video presentations, you may want to host the audio and video elsewhere for better performance.

One option is Amazon's S3 service (discussed earlier), but there are several other services that specialize in delivering a high volume of high-bandwidth content, and these may provide better performance to your site visitors. (Though I've never had a problem myself just using Amazon S3, I haven't done any extremely high volume.)
